Along with the forward's 6 scores on debut, Ireland has scored eight in 3 appearances for Wythenshawe, while Boyd scored 5 on his first match and Lescott, a centre-half by trade, notched a hat-trick in one game as a striker.

One opponent, thirty-eight, who plays on the flank for Collegiate OB, came up against ex- Wigan defender Maynor Figueroa on the weekend - and had to tell his young son who Emile Heskey was.

"Our team went one-nil ahead and had a
